Dining at Waitangi

Let our spectacular Treaty Grounds embrace your private function or group cocktail and canapés in an unequalled atmosphere. Our historic, sweeping setting will create a stunning impression while the expansive Bay of Islands becomes a backdrop you'll never forget. Cultural performance may also be included in a tailor-made afternoon or evening. A superb marquee is also available for hire.

Cafés

During the day the Waitangi Café (located just inside the entrance) offers a cosy ambiance, decorated with beautiful paintings from well-known and up-and-coming New Zealand artists.

Our full range of organic coffees are all double-shot, and an extensive selection of speciality teas and chilled drinks are also available. For the peckish we provide tasty snacks, such as savouries, muffins, scones, cakes, biscuits and a wide choice of ice-creams.

High quality locally produced preserves, sauces, oils and teas can be purchased, as can any of the paintings on display.

The verdant Waikokopu Café dispenses homemade incredible edibles and seriously good espresso. Their award-winning beef and lamb dishes may also be accompanied by selected New Zealand and imported wines.
