The off-peak season runs from 1 April 2011 to 14 October 2011. We are open from 9am to 5pm every day, in all weather!
The off-season creates a special mood at Waitangi and smaller numbers of visitors enhance the peaceful setting.

Embrace Waitangi:Introducing the Birthplace of our Nation. Walk in the footsteps of our ancestors. Learn the significance of the ceremonial waka, the flagstaff, the carved Whare Runanga and the Treaty House.

Treaty House Treasures: Explore one of New Zealand’s oldest and most visited historic homes and learn about the treasures within.

We offer a series of short Maori cultural performances by our resident group. Be entertained and informed on a journey in traditional and contemporary song.

An audio-visual presentation runs regularly from 9am to 4pm daily.
