Waitangi Festival Schedule of Events 2011

The Waitangi Festival encompasses the days leading up to Waitangi Day, from Thursday 3 February to Saturday, 5 February.

Waitangi Day has its own program of events.

  13.00-18.00 Soling in front of the Bay of Island Sailing Club (Te Tii beach)
Fri 4 Feb 10.00 Ki-o-Rahi Exhibition Day, featuring Oromahoe School in the sports field
  10.00-13.00 A Trifle Bazaar (band) at the Treaty House Courtyard
  12.00-16.00 Mau Rakau demonstration in front of Te Whare Runanga
  12.00-17.00 Kerikeri Weavers at the Treaty House
  from 13.00 Horse Trekking (1/2 hr rides to Wairoa Bay - depart hourly) at the Horse Trek'n base in Paihia (Wairoa Rd, past the Waitangi Golf Club)
Sat 5 Feb 10.00-14.30 Ki-o-Rahi tournament for the Waitangi Bowl in the Waitangi sports field

NOTE: Free parking is provided on the estate for the free concerts on Saturday 5 February.

 

For rugby followers, Investec Super Rugby is taking place at 5pm on Friday 4th Feb at Kerikeri Domain - Blues vs. Hurricanes. Gates open 4pm.
